My political writings have focused on city planning, then local food and then, most recently, food insecurity (the risk and experience of hunger). If there’s an overarching theme to my political writings, it’s probably on the frequent disconnect between the idealism that motivates political efforts and the likely outcomes of the policies pursued. That is, a tremendous amount of effort is often devoted to approaches that are unlikely to achieve their intended goals, even under ideal circumstances.
